Camp Sebago has been a cornerstone of The Salvation Army's camping ministry since 1957, when Brigadier John Baggs raised $45,000 to purchase the property, officially dedicating and opening it as Camp Sebago on July 12th, 1958. Each summer, the camp welcomes campers from across Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire, serving up to 660 campers over six weeks — with this year's capacity at 330 due to ongoing cabin renovations. The Sanford corps alone is sending 22 campers this summer, reflecting the strong community connection that has defined Camp Sebago for nearly 70 years. The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help with a camp clean-up day, and they'd love to have your support in preparing the grounds for another great season. Come for a few hours or stay for the whole day. Food to be provided for everyone that joins! |

Together, we will tackle clean-up around St. Thomas School, Holy Family Church, and the neighboring streets. We will be joining forces with St. Thomas School, SHS Interact Club, Pete Tranchemontagne, and Cheeny Plante. Last year's event was very successful and we look forward to doing it again this year! |

Come join us for our July social event, seeing Singin in the Rain at Hackmatack Playhouse. We will be joined with members of the South Berwick-Eliot Rotary Club to mingle with our peers. Tickets have been discounted for the event at $34 each. Payment is due in advance by either cash or check to secure your seats. This is a Rotarian plus one event!
From Hackmatack: We look forward to seeing you for the show! Upon arrival, please check in with our box office for entry. A few important reminders: Accessibility: Seating at Hackmatack is general admission to help ensure greater accessibility for everyone. You are welcome to choose the seats that best suit you and your group. If you would like additional comfort, seat cushions are available at the box office for a $5 donation supporting Hackmatack’s infrastructure fund. Temperature: The theater is located within an 19th-century barn. There is no air conditioning available within the venue. On hot and humid summer matinees we encourage patrons to wear light clothing and bring water (Cool drinks and ice cream are also available at our concessions stand). Conversely, on cooler nights, a light sweater or warmer clothes are recommended. Concessions: Bar service and snacks are available both at pre-show and intermission. All treats can be consumed in the theater. Don't worry about making a mess- we are a barn, after all! |
